Your Trusted House Painter profile is more than a place to list your business. It is often a homeowner’s first look at who you are, what you do, and whether they feel comfortable inviting you to quote a job. A few minutes spent filling it out can make that first impression much stronger.
Start with the first thing homeowners see
Add your company logo where the default paint roller appears. It helps people recognize your business when they come across your profile or see you alongside other painters in the directory.
Then replace the generic cover image with a photo that represents your work. A finished interior, an exterior project, or a picture of you and your team can all work. Choose something relevant that gives a homeowner an immediate sense of your business.

Give homeowners a reason to trust you
Do not leave the About section empty. Tell people who you are, how long you have been painting, and what matters to your company. If you have a particular approach to your work, a guarantee, or a warranty, this is a good place to explain it.
Complete the practical details too, including your business structure, accepted payment methods, and primary contact. A homeowner should not have to guess how your business operates or how to reach you.
Check your service areas and services
Your locations matter because they determine which areas you can be notified about when leads come in. If you have already added your service locations, great. Take another look to make sure they reflect the places where you actually want jobs.

Do the same for the Services tab. List the work you offer so that someone looking for a painter can see whether you are a fit before reaching out. If your locations and services are already complete, you have two important pieces in place.
Build credibility with reviews and documents
Ask customers to leave reviews on your profile. Reviews help homeowners assess your work, and on Trusted House Painter, more reviews can help your profile rank higher when homeowners search.
The Documents tab is another opportunity to build trust. If you have liability insurance documents, WCB information, certifications, or awards, add the relevant items there. These details give homeowners more to go on than a business name and a short description.
Connect your social pages and website
Add the social media pages you use for your business, whether that is Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or another page. They give people another way to get familiar with your work.
If you have a website, add its address to your profile as well. That gives an interested homeowner a direct route to learn more about your company. If you do not have one yet, we can help build one, and Trusted House Painter members can ask about a discount.
We also discussed the Canadian Digital Adoption Program as a possible $2,400 website funding opportunity. Eligibility was an issue in this particular case, so check the program’s current availability and requirements before making plans around that funding.

See your profile the way a homeowner does
There is a practical reason to fill in all these sections. In the Painters Near Me directory, a homeowner searching an area such as Vancouver or Abbotsford sees your business next to other painters. Some listings have recognizable logos and details; others still show the default paint roller.

When someone opens your listing, they should find enough information to feel confident inviting you to a job. Your logo and cover photo get their attention. Your About section, services, locations, reviews, and documents help answer their questions. Your website and social pages give them places to learn more.
None of this guarantees a lead. It does make better use of the profile you already have. Fill in the gaps, then check your listing in the directory and ask yourself: if this were the first time you had found this painting company, would you have enough reason to get in touch?
